What are saddlebag reinforcements?

Leather bags tend to sag and lose their original shape with use. Saddlebag reinforcements are made of ridged ABS material (plastic) and are designed to return the bag to its original shape

Leather bags are expensive and will sag as time goes by. Saddlebag reinforcements are an easy, inexpensive way to maintain the shape of your leather bag.

How do I choose reinforcements for my bag?

Begin by identifying your bag model (you can use the pictures in our ordering pages to help you with this task). Inserts are classified by bag model and year so the correct insert for you depends on your saddlebag.

How are the inserts installed?

The lid inserts are permanently attached to the bag with contact cement glue. The side bag support inserts fit between the seams of your inner saddlebags and require no special glue or contact cement. The top rail supports slide onto the lip of your saddlebag - we recommend gluing them on, but it is not required. You can install the inserts on your own by following our Saddlebag reinforcement installation guide or have one of our approved dealers install the inserts for you.

What is your warranty policy?

Leather Lid inserts offer a 1-year warranty on saddlebag insert installation and a lifetime warranty on all of our inserts.
